Dr. Khaled Ghattass’ educational background started in science. He completed a BSc in analytical Chemistry from the Beirut Arab University in 2005 and joined the American University of Beirut (AUB) where he graduated with a master’s degree in Organic Chemistry (Drug Development) in 2008. One year later, he decided to join the ongoing battle between scientific research and cancer and earned a PhD in cellular and molecularbiology (breast cancer metastasis) from AUB in 2013.
He published several scientific articles in international peer reviewed journals in the fields of organic chemistry and cell biology and represented AUB in numerous international conferences.


Soon after graduation, he was appointed as the Business Development Director of a multinational clinical research organization in Riyadh where he managed the company's branch in the Kingdom.
He was an advisor to the Directorate of Research and Studies at the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he led several projects among which was to develop Standard Operating Procedures for ethical and scientific revision and approval of clinical research.
In 2015, he moved to Madrid, Spain to pursue another master’s degree in International Business Administration (MBA) at the renowned IE Business School. After graduation in 2016, he joined one of the top multinational pharmaceutical companies, Sanofi, where he was appointed as Head of Business Planning and Operations for the Middle East, Pakistan, and Ukraine.
In 2019 he was appointed as Head of Marketing for the greater Gulf countries and then was promoted to General Manager of Sanofi Vaccines for KSA in early 2022.

In parallel with his corporate journey, he pursued his executive education in the most renowned Business Schools. In 2018, he completed the “Strategy in Complex
Environments” Program from Cornell University. In December 2021, he completed the “Authentic Leadership Development” executive education program from the Harvard Business School and “The Brains and Guts of Decision Making” Program from the Sanford Business School in November 2022 and Behavioral Economics from the Harvard Business School October 2023.
